Latest update from Little Parrot HQ. Since the last time of writing, things are moving in the right direction. Work is coming in and quotes are going out, we’ve even quoted for a job in 2019!
The workshop has been busier of late, since the Survival Of The Fittest job, we’ve had some podiums to make for a new show, only at the pilot stage as yet, so quite a simple little number. Various hires have been passing through the workshop, mainly flattage, but that does keep you surprisingly busy.
We’ve built an amount of stock flattage, braces and stage rostra for a well known corporate events company, who seem to like the quality of the work (always a good thing). This week has seen us start a fairly big one: on Thursday and Friday we faced down the “Beast From The East” on a hillside in Essex, we embarked on a mission to build our very own ice mountain for a new concept/promo gameshow, backed by the BBC. The show is loosely based on a kind of tough mudder/It’s A Knockout, crossed with the Japanese game “slippery stairs” look that one up on Youtube, absolutely hilarious.
We braved the elements in good spirits, the team were amazing and stayed good humoured throughout, despite freezing temperatures, snow and a serious wind up on the hill. More of the same next week as we look to finish that one off in time for rehearsals on Thursday and filming on Friday, hopefully the weather is a lot kinder next week.
A few exciting projects in the pipeline, with a possible gameshow that will go worldwide. Watch this space….
