Blog 3

So, as we move into 2018 things are pretty quiet around here. Which gives me a chance to do things like this, update the website and go through photo’s from the previous years work. Looking back we worked on some interesting stuff in some weird and wonderful places and hopefully this year will bring more of the same.

Exciting times ahead as we look forward to the big workshop move, hopefully happening sometime in February. The new place will provide opportunities for us to build sets on a much larger scale and the added bonus of a spray booth will bring a new dimension to the range of finishes we can provide. As well as having a much larger build area, we will have increased parking and access for deliveries etc whilst still being based in the heart of South East London.

In the meantime, we’ve held initial talks about building a new set for Love Island Aftersun, which will possibly require a complete redesign to suit the new studio it may be going in to. Also we’ve been asked to price up some sets for a new show similar to the Desperate Housewives format. A couple of small jobs that have gone through the workshop this week are; A backdrop for some promo shots for ITV’s new show, Survival Of The Fittest. Loosely based on the Love Island format, except it pits the boys against the girls in a battle of the sexes, involving physical and mental challenges, all set in the stunning backdrop of the South African Savannah. Also we took part in some games testing for Ant & Dec’s Saturday Night Takeaway, attaching a basketball net to a car.
Other than that, all quite on the Western front, hopefully that changes soon otherwise I’ll be writing these blogs everyday.
